Insulation Installation Services

Poor insulation costs more than energy.

Insulation improvements – Tighten Up Your Home

Even if you own a recently built, well-insulated home, it may be leaking the hot or cool air that you invested in. Isaac’s trained insulators help you tighten up your home by insulating often overlooked areas in your attic or basement. This will help keep the heated air in during winter and the cooled air in through the summer. The most frequent cause of winter heat loss is heat transmission. Properly installed insulation slows down heat transmission through your floors, walls and ceilings. This ensures your home will be more comfortable and consistent in temperature.

Isaac Insulation Services

Attic, Basement and Wall Insulation

Isaac can insulate exterior walls, attics, and crawl spaces. We’ll send out an energy consultant to determine the best insulation for your specific situation. Options include spray foam, blown-in cellulose, and blown-in fiberglass insulation. Isaac will typically dense-pack walls and insulate attic spaces with cellulose or blow-in fiberglass. Or we use spray foam on roof decks and rim joints in basements. Isaac can also air-seal all breaches in the basement and attic with expandable foam to help with any infiltration.

An Isaac energy consultant will assess the situation in your home and provide recommendations on specific areas of your home where and what insulation services may be necessary.

Isaac Insulation Process

  1. If you haven’t yet had a free Healthy Home Assessment, that’s where we’ll begin with our first visit.
  2. We will assess your home’s current state, its design, and your needs. An energy consultant will recommend a type of insulation for the project:
    – Blown-in cellulose is the most common type and is installed using a special machine
    – Spray foam insulation is best suited for filling gaps and covering large spaces
  3. We’ll provide a free estimate for you to approve, so there are no surprises. We will also work with you to benefit from any NYSERDA rebates and Empower+ opportunities
  4. Then we’ll scope the project and plan the installation.
  5. You can book the installation at a time that is most convenient for you.
  6. While we’re installing your insulation, we’ll protect your space with drop cloths, floor protection, and shoe booties.
  7. Isaac’s uniformed, background-checked insulators will install the insulation.
  8. When the project is completed, we will review what was done and answer any questions you may have.
