Tom Nugent plays a pivotal role as a leader at our Buffalo branch – and an even larger part in the community. Over the last few months, Tom and his team completed seven Habitat for Humanity installations and they walked in a First Responder Parade in Lancaster, NY. He also presented at BOCES and at a number of career fairs across the region.
“It’s about serving the community that gives so much to us,” he says.
In addition to his many passions, Tom is a presenter at the Isaiah 61 Project – a free, 500-hour intensive training program that prepares inner-city adults for careers in construction. The mission is to change lives and transform neighborhoods one person, and one home, at a time.
“I think it’s important to show that even if you don’t choose to attend college, great careers are everywhere. Working in a trade like construction is a perfectly viable option,” he says.
Thank you, Tom! For everything you do at Isaac – and the communities you serve.
