Making Sure Your Air Conditioning Keeps You Cool

Why maintenance on your equipment is important.

The warmer weather is a welcomed sight for many homeowners. After a hot and humid day in the sun, it’s a relief to walk into the cool, air-conditioned air of your home. The last thing you want is to find that your air conditioning has stopped working.

Forgetting or avoiding the annual maintenance on your air conditioner or heat pump can lead to interruptions in your equipment working properly. The longer you go without maintenance, the more dirt and debris will build up in the filter and on the coils.

Regular maintenance also ensures that the refrigerant level is correct. Too much or too little not only knocks years off the life of your equipment, but also increases your energy costs.

When an Isaac technician is cleaning your air conditioner or heat pump, he or she will also check to make sure that the air is blowing properly throughout the home. During the maintenance, we will also inspect the blower components. Insufficient air flow reduces the efficiency of your equipment.

“Isaac’s technicians are trained extensively on multiple air conditioning and heat pump models and brands. Keeping your equipment running before an issue arises is important to them — and the company,” says Jake Coleman, Residential Service Manager.

Air conditioning maintenance can only be done in the warmer months — ideally between April and early October. So don’t delay! With fewer opportunities to service your equipment, you won’t want your air conditioning to fail in order for a technician to take a look at it.
