Isaac Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. Awarded ACCA’s 2003 Award For Training Excellence
By Kimya Bailey

ARLINGTON, VA – The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA), the nation's largest trade association representing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) contracting businesses, announced that Isaac Heating & Air Conditioning has won the association's 2003 Award for Excellence in Training. Presented this year during the Closing General Session at ACCA's 35th Annual Conference and Indoor Air Expo, the Training Excellence award recognizes companies that have gone above and beyond the industry norms to ensure technicians are properly trained. Serving the people of Rochester, New York and surrounding counties since 1945, Isaac Heating & Air Conditioning has demonstrated its commitment to training by establishing Isaac University, a training department responsible for insuring customer satisfaction. Isaac University is a competency-based technical training program incorporating the fundamentals and theories of the HVAC business. In accepting the award at ACCA`s 2003 Conference, Ray Isaac, Vice President and General Manager, credited the association`s convention for inspiring the company`s commitment. It was at the 2002 Conference in Florida where a presentation on in-house training by contractor Jerry Hurwitz (himself a past Training Excellence award winner) led Isaac to increase his company`s dedication to training and found Isaac University. The other finalist for the "Excellence in Training Award" was National Comfort Institute, Sheffield Lake, OH. ACCA is the national non-profit trade association that represents the educational, policy, and technical interests of the men and women who design, install, and maintain indoor environmental systems.
